With widely growing population and diseases there is a need to run medical facilities for worldwide curers: the need of doctors all over the world is greater than ever because doctors are the key link between you and your health. The medical and healthcare profession has become one of the largest industries with a vast variety of specializations fields. In fact, healthcare has become a priority area for governments and corporations all over the world to invest in.
Medical education is the internationally acceptable and it is all about modern procedures and medicine used today. Every country has its own, internationally acceptable format for the teaching and training of medicine and healthcare program and each has its own methodology to train and qualify the students who are entering into medical field. All over the world, there are many great traditional medical universities. To take admission into the medical field, different procedure are followed for entrance into medical college/university and prospective students has to fulfill certain criteria which is set by the university /college. For undergraduate entry usually requires students to have completed at least a high school in science subject with good percentage and in some universities needed a year of preliminary study before entrance into dedicated medical education. For post graduation courses in medicine, student must have to do bachelor courses like B.D, pre- medical courses, nursing etc. The main objective of the postgraduate training is to allow the students to continue their education and general practitioners to improve their skills for further certification and faculty is directed at the training and improvement of qualification and skills of specialists to master not only up-to date medical information but new modern technologies of today and tomorrow.
Newly trained doctors are required to complete a certain period of practical training, usually with a hospital or with any private clinic. Before doctors can become registered as licensed practitioners anywhere in the world, they are required to complete one year training period that is called internship program.
Continued medical education is a necessity for doctors to maintain their licenses. This education is undertaken periodically by physicians, medical technicians and nursing professionals in order to maintain an up-to-date knowledge about advances, modern and the latest medical technology. Core medical training constitute of the basic sciences about the functions of human body and a detailed study of pharmacology, physiology, pathology, anatomy etc. These involve a study of procedural sciences and clinical medicine and constitutes of studies in internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, and finally, surgery.
A doctor must never stop learning. They never know when a discovery will come out of a research lab or a remote village somewhere in the world that could be the answer to a longer life with a better quality that is never before in existence. This improved quality of daily life may apply to any or all of the patients who walk into their doctor’s clinic every day. The ideal situation would be for doctors to have the time to read medical journals, symposiums, and attend conferences to stay on top of changes.
